Wow
I didnt realise that there was so much interest in this blog. I released an article less than 2 days ago to prweb.com. Since then it has been read by over 26,000 people. I have been contacted by other local business and the local press wants to interview me.
You can read the original article at: https://console.prweb.com/prweb/preview/only/130581/prweb233019.php?SESSION_ID=130581_do4560127c60d20
And here is a copy of the article:
Blogger Turns to a Jobber in the Canary Islands
Femi Jaye a blogger in the Canary Islands now offers a personal information service for travelers so that they can check out their resort destination before they even get there. The service will initially cover Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. With Tenerife and Lanzarote to be added next year.
(PRWeb) November 19, 2006 -- Many people wonder if the private apartment or hotel room that they have booked on line is as good as the show photos. Well now there is a way to find out. Femi Jaye, a UK expat is offering just that service from his blog: http://www.canary-islands-info.blogspot.com/
A user just has to visit http://www.canary-islands-info.blogspot.com/ and post a message explaining what they want to know. So if some one wants to know what bars and restaurants are wheelchair friendly for example. They just have to post a message explaining where they are going to be staying and Femi Jaye will find out for them and reply from his blog.
Femi Jaye, a finance and property broker in the Canary Islands regularly travels between the four main resort destinations of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Tenerife. He said the idea to do this came after many of his UK clients complained either about the location of their hotel, the lack of facilities or the need for a car which they had no way of knowing before hand.
Said Femi Jaye, currently on business in Fuerteventura "As I travel between the Islands a lot it is easy for me to drive to a hotel and take a picture of a hotel room and post it on my blog". He went on to say that he will include finding suitable restaurants for people and checking to see if a destination is disabled friendly and other bits of information that it are not always easy to discern on the web.
Initially the service will focus on Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. And early next year will include Lanzarote and Tenerife. Eventually it will also include the less traveled Islands of La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma. So anybody going to Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura for Christmas who wants to know the best restaurant to book that special family Christmas dinner, can find out by asking Femi on his blog at http://www.canary-islands-info.blogspot.com/
Femi Jaye is a professional finance and property broker. His main business is finding and financing property in the Canary Islands for British and Irish property investors. If you would like to use his services you can goto: http://www.arcosa-financial.com/

Fuerteventura this week!
Fuerteventura, is know as "la Isla tranquila" the quiet Isalnd. And generally speaking it lives up to it´s name.
I flew over yesterday and I had the pleasure of booking into the brand new five star Sheraton la Caleta hotel.
I have actually stayed here a few times since it opened and have always been very well looked after. The hotel is in Caleta de Fuste, just a 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport. The Sheraton is one of the latest five star hotels in Fuerteventura, as the Island is transforming itself into a luxury family and Golf resort.
If you are coming to Fuerteventura for your holidays and want the best, then you can´t go far wrong with the Sheraton. From the UK Thomson´s are offering package deals for bed and breakfast and Half board.
If you prefer to book your holidays directly then you can book online at www.sheraton.com. Prices start at €129.00 per night for a double room for two adults including breakfast. Thats just under £90.00 per night, but for a hotel of this class it is very good value for money.
The hotel is surrounded by everything the Island has to offer. You can walk from the resort onto the beach. It's sister hotel The Elba Palace Golf offers 18 holes of championship class golf (the Spanish 2004 golf open was held here). There is a brand new shopping centre close by offering bars, restaurants and various local and international shops.
On the resort is an adults and childrens pool. Beautifully maintained tropical gardens. A health SPA. Various bars and much much more. And if you are here on business like me there are conference rooms a webcafe and full WiFi coverage through out the hotel. In fact I shall be uploading this blog on their WiFi connection.
The food is good and the staff are friendly, in fact as soon as I've finished this I'm going to gorge myself with a three course breakfast. Then it's back to business I'm afraid.
Anyway if you want to see Fuerteventura but £90.00 a night is a bit rich for your blood then you can get family accommodation from only £20.00 per night. Click HERE to run a search.
So where ever you decide to stay you can be sure of Sun sandy beaches and lots of relaxation in Fuerteventura. Bien Viaje!

10 years late better than never
The Beautiful and eternally Sunny Canary Islands. Gran Canaria - Fuerteventura - Lanzarote and Tenerife.
Well at last I´ve got round to it. I´ve been thinking about it for years. But been putting off even longer. Is it writers block? Or just plain bone idleness? Have I caught a serious dose of the maƱana syndrome?
Anyway here it is. I´m in my tenth year in the Canary Islands, and have decided to publish this blog. This blog is dedicated to all things in the Canary Islands, well the main four holiday destinations: Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Tenerife. Of course I will from time to time touch on the Islands of La Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera.
As a resident here and having been involved in the property, finance and holiday industries I am ready to dispense my pearls of wisdom on these topics.
I also regulary commute between the Islands of Gran Canaria (where I live) and Fuerteventura (where I work).
So on my travels I shall be reviewing all the Islands, the best hotels and resorts to stay in.The best bars to drink in and the ones to avoid. How to find and buy your dream holiday home or villa. How to finance it, the best banks to get mortgages from. All this and much much more.
I´m even thinking of providing a live interaction service, as in you want me to take pictures of the rooms in a hotel that your thinking of booking. Or you want me to check out which bars in the area you are going to are wheel chair friendly, or simply the best place to get pissed at four in the morning.....
So please help me here. Tell me what you want to know about these sun drenched Islands. Do you want CHEAP holiday ACCOMMODATION? Do you want to buy a home or a business? Do you want MONEY? Please post me and let me know and I will do the best to answer all queries as best as I can.
I don´t want another 10 years of writers block now do I?
